For what great nation is there that has God so near it, as the Lord our God is to us, for whatever reason we may call upon Him. Deuteronomy 4:7 NKJV He is always near whenever we call to Him. We are so thankful for you and your prayers for Almond Tree Ministries. Carole and I pray for you and your families and bring greetings to you in the wonderful Name of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
We are thanking God for the increased attendance this fall in the Almond Tree Christian Academy (ATCA). We also thank Him for the new desks and for Bruce & Bernelda Bjerke who assembled them for us. We have been blessed with a wonderful group of students who are eager to learn!
Carole and I, through God’s divine favor, were able to attend the Association of Faith Churches & Ministries Conference held in Las Vegas in October. This was for the AFCM Churches in south western United States and the guest Speaker was the founder of AFCM, Dr. Jim Kaseman. It was such a joy to see three of our Navajo friends become licensed by AFCM. Please pray for them as they minister the Gospel of Jesus Christ.
We want to thank Karen Vanderwell and Lillian Bush, two of God’s precious servants, who visited with us this fall and ministered in the Almond Tree Church. Many received Blessings from God in the presence of the Holy Spirit!
In October Almond Tree Ministries had special meetings with Terry Brim from Branson, MO. The theme was “Stand for Israel.” I encourage you to take a stand in hope, courage and faith and join with us in prayer for Israel.
“Awakening of the Nations” Conference held at Prayer Mountain in the Ozarks in November was a great blessing to Carol & I! God made it possible for us to attend and minister. We thank Him and give Him praise for His Provisions.
Brother Copeland challenged all, that if we continue to plant the same seeds we will get the same results. God’s seeds are the only ones we should be planting; not seeds of our traditional ways nor seeds of turning back to traditional ways. God’s seeds will bring LIFE every time!
Here at Almond Tree Ministries we love to celebrate the birth of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Christmas is all about JESUS! A time to CELEBRATE! “For to us a child is born,…” One way we do this is through our Christmas Outreach Program to the Key First Nation and we would like for you to join with us in prayer & support. Help us to bring dignity at Christmas time to the lives of approximately 150 children, from infants to 18 years old, and their families whose lives have been turned around due to incarceration, addictions and/or the effects of residential schools. Through Almond Tree Ministries Christmas Program gifts, turkeys, hams, food boxes and treat bags are provided with the love of Jesus. To know that someone cares can bring a heart comfort and healing that can last a life time. We thank God for 700 Club Canada partnering with us to help make a memorable Christmas full of REAL love, joy and hope for those we minister to.
We have been blessed to have volunteers help in putting the siding on the Almond Tree Ministries Bible School Dormitory (see photo on right). We still have more to do to complete the Dorm but are thanking God for all He has supplied through our faithful partners. We thank God for your prayers and support. We love you and pray for you. May you and your families be truly blessed this Christmas!

ATMBI Opened in September 2014
By: Catherine Welland (Director)
Almond Tree Ministries Bible Institute successfully started classes September 8th with students attending from the Key and neighboring Keeseekoose First Nation. The vision and goal of ATMBI is to build a solid foundation of the Word of God in our students’ lives and help them discover and develop in the plan and purpose that God has for them individually.
We are blessed to have many guest speakers scheduled from across Canada and the US to teach in our classes and share their expertise with our students.
To kick off our year we had Don and Joy Nash, Community Chaplains from New Brunswick and Reverend Sandra Reid, Chaplain of Regina Correctional Institute, teach our class on Leadership and Chaplaincy training with the focus on preparing our students for hands on
training ministering the love of Christ inside the federal & provincial institutions. They brought invaluable knowledge and wisdom from their many years of experience in the field.
Dr. David Pierce, Director of Faith Alive Bible School in Saskatoon, joined us to teach on the Pentateuch for our 2nd block. Pastor Allan and Carole attended his bible school almost 30 years ago, not knowing that someday the Lord would have Dr. Pierce teaching in their own bible school that they have pioneered. It was amazing to see the fruit of a seed sown almost 30 years ago now producing a harvest at ATMBI. To God be the Glory!
